I love granola bars but the one you buy from the supermarket are often full of added sugar and do not contains much fibre. So I decided to make my own sugar free granola bars naturally sweetened with home made banana puree and dried apricots. I love bananas as a natural sweetener because even a small amount create an immense sweetness on your taste buds. I am eating those sugar free granola bars before going for a morning run. The banana and dried fruits are good complex carbs to provide long release of energy during my run. Today I run one hour and I get two square of those sugar free granola bars for breakfast with a black coffee and two glass of water. You have got two different recipe options. The one on the top which is slightly brushed with maple syrup to give a shiny look to the bars or the raw recipe below. The granola bars are already really sweet and it is not ‘useful; to brush them with maple syrup. It is probably my girl side who wanted to make them shiny!
